| Macedonia's
Civil Service Commission and Civil Service
System were established in 1971. The Commission's
role is to provide rules and regulations
for all appointments, promotions, demotions,
suspensions, discharges, and appeals with
respect to those positions and employees
in the classified service. All members
of the police and fire departments, including
the Chief of Police and the Fire Chief
are in the classified service.
Macedonia's
Civil Service Commission meets in January
of each year for its annual meeting. Thereafter,
the Commission meets only as needed.
The
Commission consists of five members, all
of whom are residents of Macedonia. Each
member serves a six-year term. The Commission's
current members are Chuck Kozelka, chairman;
Mike Hawkins, vice-chairman and Mike Menhart,
Kurt Laubinger and Katherine Martin.
