INCOME TAX

The City's tax rate is 2%. Residents receive 100% credit for income taxes paid to other cities up to 2% of their income taxable by the City of Macedonia.

R.I.T.A administers and collects all income taxes and will serve as an Agent of the City in this capacity.

All payments for municipal income taxes, for current or prior tax years are to be sent to R.I.T.A. and not to the City of Macedonia. All checks or money orders are to be made payable to Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.).

If you are an employer located within the City and are required to withhold the municipal income tax, the 2004 tax withholding forms will be mailed to you in the near future. If you have an existing account with RITA and are already remitting withholding taxes for another RITA municipality, simply add the Macedonia withholding tax payment to the RITA Form 11.

All Income Tax payments should be remitted to the following address:

R.I.T.A.
P.O.Box 477900
Broadview Hts. Ohio 44147-7900

Please include your Social Security Number or Federal Identification Number on all checks, money orders or correspondence.

If you would like to get copies of our forms prior to any mailing, they may be downloaded at our web site at www.ritaohio.com.

If you have any questions regarding your City income tax or R.I.T.A. please contact us at (440) 526-0900 or 1-800-860-7482.  For TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) assistance, (440)-526-5332.
