Macedonia Service Department is proud
to welcome you to our web site. Here,
you will find a variety of information
about our department and the services
we provide to the community.
From
snow plowing and salting in the Winter,
to mowing and ditch cleaning in the Summer,
to leaf collecting in the Fall, our department
is constantly involved in a wide array
of different activities and job assignments.
This work is preformed by a strong group
of dedicated men and women that strive
to provide you with the highest level
of service possible.
The
motto of our department is to "provide
quality, efficient municipal services
to maintain city infrastructure, maintain
city buildings, and assist residents with
specific service needs."

DRAINAGE
AND SEWER CONTROL COMMITTEE
The
Drainage and Sewer Control Committee is
made up of volunteer residents whose mission
is to identify and investigate the quantity
of storm water which may lead to drainage,
waterway, and sewer problems that affect
the City of Macedonia in conjunction with
EPA mandated quality issues. The committee
will work to identify public and private
responsibilities while making recommendations
for improvements and informing the public. Click for more info

MAILBOX POLICIES AND
PROCEDURES
It is the responsibility of each resident to
ensure that their mailbox is sturdy enough
to withstand snow and slush being plowed off
of the road by City trucks. For
further mail box information review our Mailbox Requirements.

USED MOTOR OIL DO'S & DON'TS:
-Do Not put liquid used oil in the trash!
-Do Not mix your used oil with other liquids or wastes that might cause a hazardous waste!
-Do Label Containers and/or Tanks!
-Do Recycle your used motor oil!
-NEVER THROW USED OIL ON THE GROUND, DOWN THE SEWER, DOWN A SEPTIC TANK, OR IN A FLOOR DRAIN! |

FERTILIZER DO'S & DON'TS:
-Do use the fertilizer according to the instructions on the label!
-Do Not apply fertilizer on a windy day or immediately after a heavy rain.
-Do Not use fertilizer on an area adjacent to a water body.
-NEVER dump fertilizer or grass clippings in a stream, catch basin drain, or storm sewer! |
