This letter is to update residents on the status of the Shepard Hills Boulevard water main project. During the weeks of August 13th and August 20th, we will have some periods of time in which water service to your home will be interrupted. Although the water main work is occurring only on Shepard Hills Boulevard, temporary loss of water service will occur on adjacent streets such as Tanglewood, Broadmoor, Broadledge, Ledgeview, Briarwood, and some parts of Shepard Road. These shut downs are necessary while the contractor re-connects various water main pipes along the project. Our contractor will take all precautions possible to minimize any times in which water service is shut off, and to make all efforts to notify residents in advance of any shut offs.
It is anticipated that the current one-way traffic pattern will remain in place through the end of August. After completion of the water main work the road will be re-opened to two way traffic. Once the water main work is complete, asphalt resurfacing will take place on Shepard Hills Boulevard and on Tanglewood Road.
We realize that road construction is an inconvenience to our residents. Your patience and cooperation throughout this entire process is greatly appreciated. While we have tried to plan for every contingency, there are times when something unexpected occurs. Naturally, the City will make every effort to rectify any issues that arise. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact City Engineer Joe Gigliotti at (440) 439-1999 or email him at email@example.com
