This week, the Macedonia Police Department is leading active shooter response training at Ledgeview Elementary School. This multi-agency exercise also includes the Macedonia Fire Department, University Hospitals, and safety forces from across Nordonia Hills.

Role-playing scenarios allow first responders to practice threat neutralization, tactical movement, interagency coordination, and emergency aid for victims.

Each year, a different school in the Nordonia Hills district is selected for this drill to ensure all buildings and teams are ready to respond swiftly and effectively in an emergency.
