Jeff Garvas was elected to office in November 2019. Mr. Garvas is currently president of Council and chair of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Safety Committee, the Streets & Highways Committee, and is a member of the Macedonia/Northfield Center Township JEDD Board of Directors.

Mr. Garvas is a “Distinguished Engineer” working in IT Planning and Design for a Fortune 100 telecommunications company.

Mr. Garvas has volunteered with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s MS150 “Pedal to the Point” Bike Tour for 30+ years providing EMS communication. He was a founding communications director of the volunteer Northeast Ohio Medical Response Corps (NEOMRC). As an FCC-licensed amateur radio operator, he has been a trustee with the Lake Erie Amateur Radio Association (LEARA) since 1999, where he currently serves as its secretary/treasurer.
