Police:
Macedonia Police Department is budgeted for 28 full-time officers, plus a team of emergency dispatchers. The day-to-day operation is supervised by the Chief of Police, three Lieutenants and four Sergeants, as well as a Detective Bureau.
Fire:
Macedonia Fire Department is staffed with 28 full-time and 22 part-time paramedics/firefighters. The fire rating for insurance purposes is 3.
City Services:
The City of Macedonia is a full-service community with its own Building Department, City Engineer, Building Inspectors and Zoning Inspector. Our Service Department is responsible for the maintenance of the city's public buildings, infrastructure and parks, as well as annual programs such as leaf and snow removal.
Parks:
Macedonia is fortunate to have one of the largest city-owned parks in Ohio, with over 350 acres of walking paths, playgrounds, picnic areas with shelters, ball fields, soccer fields and a lake. Additionally, the park is home to the Macedonia Family Recreation Center.
