Andy has been working as a lifeguard at the Macedonia Family Recreation Center since October 2016. After growing up in the Tremont area of Cleveland, he now lives in Sagamore Hills. Andy has had a big impact at the pool. He quickly adapted to the pool operation procedures and was made a supervisor in the summer of 2018. He values his role as an older guard, and enjoys the opportunity to help mentor the younger staff. Growing up in the “city” in the 60’s has earned him the nickname Cleveland Andy, and he often jokes that he learns just as much from them and that they keep him young. He is well liked by fellow coworkers and patrons. His leadership, dedication, and proactive approach has made him a key member of the aquatic staff. In his spare time, you can almost always find Andy training for triathlons or with a camera in his hand. Andy is very passionate about photography and enjoys finding the diversity in his subjects. His creativity often results in very eclectic landscape shots and he focuses mostly on night photography, which is his specialty. Also an avid graphic artist, Andy recently generated a variety of new logos for the Macedonia Manta Rays swim team!

Congratulations Andy!
