Congratulations Employee of the Month…Emily Miller

Congratulations…Employee of the Month Emily Miller, Recreation Department

Emily joined the Macedonia Family Recreation Center team in September 2015.  She is employed as a Front Desk Attendant and Supervisor, although she often is the first to volunteer to fill in wherever needed.  She has assisted with many programs, camps and events…and was most recently one of the friendly faces providing rides on shuttle carts during the city’s annual FunFest!

Emily was born in Mayfield Heights and lived in South Euclid until she was almost 4 years old. Her family then moved to Brecksville and Emily recently graduated with honors from Brecksville-Broadview Heights HS in May 2016.

Emily was very active as a child. She played basketball, softball, soccer and loved to ride her bike!  She ended up enjoying soccer the most. She was a key contributor on the girls HS soccer team. In addition, she played the Alto Saxophone in Marching Band, as well as the Oboe in the Concert Band.

Emily has an older brother and two dogs, Mandy and Chewy, who she loves to play with and take care of.  One of Emily’s favorite things to do is go shopping!

Emily is currently enrolled at Kent State University with an honor roll status. She plans to become a nurse! Making one life better at a time.  Thank you for all that you do for the Recreation Department, Emily!  Congratulations!
