We congratulate Elisa Mohr as our March Employee of the Month. Elisa came to the City to serve as a volunteer in 2017 assisting Cheri Kuczma, our Senior Coordinator with our Senior Luncheon program. In 2019, Elisa was appointed to a permanent part-time Administrative Assistant as our Senior Program now encompasses senior residents of Macedonia, Northfield Village and Sagamore Hills. Members range from newly retired to 100 years old! Over 150 lunches are served weekly. In addition, we have launched the senior home delivery luncheon program for those unable to attend. Elisa is one of those employees always eager to work. Always willing to go above and beyond to help someone. Her work ethic and enthusiasm is commendable. Elisa arrives well before to set up for the morning coffee group or to handle prep work for our senior lunches and is one that can always be counted on to do an outstanding job. “The Senior Center has certainly become a ‘hub’ for our Senior residents,” says Elisa. Besides Bingo, members can enjoy live entertainment, crafts, activities, games and clinics on safety, Medicare, health to name a few. We would be remiss if we did not mention the holidays as there are Halloween Parties, Christmas gatherings, Valentine’s Day and Easter to orchestrate as all enjoy the camaraderie shared. Elisa thoroughly enjoys her job as reflected in her smile. Just talking about it makes her face light up. Elisa stated, “She has grown close to all of the seniors, they have such wonderful stories to tell.” In Elisa’s spare time, she loves to cook, especially Italian cuisine. She enjoys gardening and just working out in the yard. Her real love is talking walks. Elisa said a good walk just makes you feel alive and loves being close to nature. Elisa lives in Macedonia; has a son Michael, who is married and is very blessed with two grandchildren, Angelina age 13, and 3 year-old grandson, Michael. We thank Elisa for her dedication and her commitment to the City.
