Second Half 2022 Manufactured Home Tax Bills Due July 31

July 27, 2022

AKRON, OHIO – Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE would like to remind manufactured homeowners that second half 2022 real estate taxes are due on Sunday, July 31, 2022 or the first following business day if the 31st falls on a weekend or holiday. Payments can be made in person at the Summit County Fiscal Office, Services Division, 1030 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron, OH 44310 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Manufactured home tax payments can also be made by mail. Mailed payments must be U.S. postmarked by July 31, 2022, to avoid the statutory 10% penalty for late payment.  A private meter is not valid for establishing the date of payment. A drop box is also available at the front door of the department.

Assistance is available to manufactured homeowners who have delinquent taxes. The Delinquent Tax Payment Program offers help to those who have fallen behind on tax payments. By entering into a written delinquent tax contract, manufactured homeowners will establish a monthly payment and unpaid taxes will not be subject to further penalty or interest. For more information about the Delinquent Tax Payment Program, please call 330-630-7226.

Ohio law states that it is the responsibility of the property owner to obtain and pay their tax bill on time.  To request a copy of your tax bill, please call 330-630-7226.
