Congratulations to the Nordonia Varsity Ice Hockey Team on being recognized at the City Council meeting last Thursday!
The honor was accompanied with February 24th being proclaimed as Nordonia Day in the City of Macedonia.

PROCLAMATION
Nordonia Boys Varsity Ice Hockey Team
Whereas: We acknowledge that active participation in organized athletics is influential to building good character and teaches a wholesome sense of fair play and good sportsmanship among our youth; and
Whereas: In order to excel in any one sport, a young person must demonstrate an outstanding spirit of dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work; and
Whereas: Congratulations to the Nordonia Knights Ice Hockey Team winning three games in the final 24 hours of the regular season claiming Champions of the Blue South Division with a record of 9 wins and 1 loss with an overall record of 13 wins 12 losses and 1 tie; and
Whereas: Special recognition to Coach Rich Cinalli who was given the Brian Teeple Coaches Award as top coach in the Blue Division; Blue-South Division Allstars were First Team: Nate Owen and Kevin Waite, Second Team: Max Zuschin and Owen Tindall, and Honorable Mention Noah Vega;
Now, Therefore, I, Nicholas Molnar, Mayor of the City of Macedonia, Ohio, do hereby proclaim Thursday, February 24 as Nordonia Day in our city and extend to the Nordonia Varsity Ice Hockey Team my personal congratulations and those of all our citizens, who appreciate the team’s athletic prowess and wish them success in all future competitions.
